Under the introduction of the policy under bullet regarding "This law does not provide for leave at the end of a deployment." My comments are as follows: I understand that this is not within the scope of this specific request but wanted to mention that this anyways. Many times, when Service Members are limited in ability to drive privately owned vehicles due to the heightened awareness of driving in a combat zone (i.e. roadside explosive devices, snipers, etc). This burden then lies with partners and military spouse to drive Service Member to and from post-deployment briefings and appointments. It would be beneficial to provide something like 5 days post-deployment to assist families readjust to post-deployment life.

I have a question about MFLA. Would utilizing the unpaid time off under this act effect my unbroken service date or anniversary date?
