Public feedback is a key part of L&I’s process for developing rules and administrative policies. During the development process, L&I will post proposed Prevailing Wage rules and policies to this page for review and comment by stakeholders.

Rulemaking

L&I engages in rulemaking after laws, or statutes, are passed by the state Legislature and signed by the Governor. The laws are compiled in the Revised Code of Washington, or RCWs. L&I and other state agencies develop rules – also known as regulations or WACs, for the Washington Administrative Code – to carry out those laws. For more information on the how L&I develops rules, visit L&I’s rulemaking webpage.

L&I needs your help on the following active draft rules: No active rulemaking projects.

Administrative Policies

Administrative policies are intended to provide interpretation and guidance on the application of statutes, regulations, and policies enforced by L&I's Prevailing Wage Program. As these policies are developed and updated, draft versions of the administrative policies will be posted to this page for review and comment by stakeholders. L&I encourages public feedback and participation with these policy development efforts.
